StarLite

The IST STARLITE project (Services, Technologies and ARchitectures enabLing InTErnet and PSTN integration) provides the appropriate architectural framework for the provision of unified applications over both the PSTN and the Internet. In order to achieve unification in the application layer the project consortium decided to use the OSA/PARLAY APIs specifications, which eventually resulted in the submission of a Green Paper to the Parlay consortium. The STARLITE project was coordinated by Siemens Mobile Communications SpA, Italy.
