The main objectives of the project are to demonstrate:

  • Τhat a broadband ATM PON is flexible, reliable and cost-effective
  • Τhat applications and services using ATM make efficient use of available resources and bandwidth
  • Τhat such applications and services fulfil real user needs
  • Τhat system management issues for shared access can be resolved interoperability between ATM IBC islands through the Pan European ATM Network.
