Welcome to the Intelligent Communications and Broadband Networks Laboratory - ICBNet

The Intelligent Communications and Broadband Networks Laboratory is established within the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

The main research activities of ICBNet Laboratory are:
  • Design of broadband networks services using object oriented technologies (CORBA, JAVA, JSP, UML, XML).
  • Study and development of mobile agents for new services (platforms: JADE, Grasshopper, LEAP-JADE etc).
  • Development of privacy oriented context-aware services for mobile/ubiquitous computing.
  • Development of new services for mobile networks (GPRS, UMTS, 3GPP, beyond 3G) and mobile telephony applications.
  • Development of context-aware adaptive services for mobile and fixed subscribers.
  • Development of services for mobile IP and IPv6.
  • Development of new services over IP networks (VPNs, VoIP, traffic engineering), providing Quality of Service (QoS).
  • Use of network simulation tools (OPNET, NS2) regarding traffic engineering.

The laboratory is situated on the first floor of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Zografou Campus
