Abstract:
This paper investigates the diversity performance of the on-body fading channels at 2.45 GHz, focusing on the effect of the human body movement. This investigation is based on signal measurements conducted for mobile user cases in both an anechoic chamber and an indoor office environment, using bodyworn antennas. The effects of the body movement on the fading characteristics of the on-body diversity channel as well as the on-body diversity performance are extensively studied through analysis of the measurement data.
