Abstract:
The fast increasing number of health monitoring devices (mainly wearables) is giving users a great potential to monitor health and habitual parameters, in a simple and easy way. However, the diversity of platforms calls for the introduction of simplified, standard solutions that can offer integrated tools to end users (patients, professionals, practitioners). In this article, we present the idea of a Health Avatar, which is used as the electronic equivalent of a human, featuring a Dynamic Life Profile, corresponding to physical status, living conditions and habits of the human-owner of the Avatar, and the way this can be used to improve the quality of health and life.
