Dr. Ioannis A. Bartsiokas was born in Athens in 1997. He graduated from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where he received his Diploma (M.Eng.) in 2020 and his Ph.D. degree in 2023, specializing in next-generation wireless communication networks (5G/B5G) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for telecommunication systems. From 2020 to 2023, he was a Research Associate at the Intelligent Communications and Broadband Networks Laboratory (ICBNet) and the Microwave and Fiber Optics Laboratory (MFOL) of NTUA, where he contributed to the design and development of innovative solutions for 5G/B5G and 6G networks. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the same laboratories.
In parallel, he has collaborated as a Wireless Communications Engineer/Researcher with major Greek companies, being involved in cutting-edge projects related to communication security and the development of pioneering telecommunication infrastructures. He has contributed to numerous scientific publications in high-impact international journals (IEEE Access, Open Journal of the Communications Society, etc.) and in the proceedings of top-tier conferences (VTC, ISCC, PIMRC, etc.), while also participating in the preparation and evaluation of research proposals. Furthermore, he is actively engaged in the academic community as Guest Editor of the Special Issue “Advances in 5G and Beyond Mobile Communication” of the international scientific journal MDPI Electronics, while also serving as a reviewer for leading international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. His research interests focus on wireless networks, radio resource management in 5G/B5G networks, the application of machine learning and deep learning methods to wireless systems, adaptive modulation, and MIMO antennas. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE). Scientific Interests:
• New generation mobile networks (B5G and 6G). • Radio Resource management (RRM) in wireless mobile broadband networks. • Machine, Deep and Federated Learning Techniques for efficient cellular networks. • AI-aided Physical Layer security in B5G/6G networks. • Physical layer transmission techniques for cellular networks with adaptive modulation and MIMO antennas. | ||||
